Seeking Conservative Nomination · Egmont, PEI

Meet Matt

Not a career politician. Not a party insider. Just someone from this Island who's ready to fight for it.

A Proud Islander

Matt MacFarlane grew up on Prince Edward Island. He went to school here. He works here. His family and friends are here. This isn't a stepping stone — this is home.

He's watched Ottawa make decisions that hurt Island communities. Taxes go up. Groceries cost more. Young families can't find housing. Fishermen face more regulations. Farmers face more uncertainty. And the people making these decisions have never set foot on a wharf in January.

That's why he's running. Not because politics is his career plan. Because someone from this riding needs to stand up and say: enough.

Matt believes in hard work, common sense, and looking out for your neighbours. He believes the federal government should help communities like ours — not make life harder for them. And he believes Egmont deserves a representative who actually understands what life is like here.

What Drives Me

Core Values

Community First

Every decision I make will start with one question: does this help the people of Egmont? If it doesn't, I'm not interested. Our communities — from Summerside to Tignish — deserve a voice that actually represents them.

Fiscal Responsibility

Government should live within its means. Every dollar Ottawa spends is a dollar it took from a working family. I'll fight for lower taxes, less waste, and a budget that makes sense.

Straight Talk

I won't spin. I won't dodge questions. If I don't know something, I'll say so. If I disagree with my own party on something that matters to this riding, you'll hear about it.

Local Economy

Our fishery, our farms, our small businesses — that's the real economy of Egmont. Federal policy should support these industries, not suffocate them with regulations and carbon taxes.
